Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Spatula
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Start by melting the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until fluffy.
  3. Once the chocolate is melted and slightly cooled, add it to the creamed butter.
  4. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until combined.
  5. Add the heavy cream and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  6. Increase the mixer speed and beat until the frosting is smooth and fluffy.
  7. If the frosting is too thick, add a bit more cream. If it’s too thin, add a little more powdered sugar.
  8. Spread the frosting on your favorite dessert or store it in an airtight container.
