Ingredients

Main
  • 1 pound beef sirloin cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper cut into squares
  • 1 green bell pepper cut into squares
  • 1 onion cut into wedges
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 tortillas for serving

Equipment

  • Grill or grill pan
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the marinade and toss well to coat. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the fridge.
  3. Chop the bell peppers and onion.
  4. Thread the marinated beef, bell peppers, and onion onto skewers, alternating each ingredient.
  5. Heat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. While grilling, warm the tortillas on a separate grill or in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds on each side.
  8. Once cooked, remove the kabobs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve with warm tortillas.

Notes

These kabobs are versatile; substitute beef with chicken or shrimp and customize the veggies to your liking.
