Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder for dusting

Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • 9x9 inch baking dish
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Start by brewing a strong cup of coffee and let it cool down.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Using an electric mixer, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the ricotta mixture.
  5. Dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee for just a second.
  6. In a 9x9-inch baking dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers.
  7. Spread a layer of the cream mixture over the top, repeating until you reach the top.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
  9. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

For an added flavor, you can add a splash of coffee liqueur to the coffee before soaking the ladyfingers.
