Ingredients

Main
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Mixing spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet (optional)

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  2. Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add meatballs and brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Once browned, remove meatballs from skillet and set aside.
  5. Add the remaining butter to the skillet. Once melted, whisk in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until golden.
  6. Gradually whisk in beef broth, then stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce.
  7. Add the browned meatballs back to the skillet, ensuring they are coated in the gravy. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
  8. Serve the meatballs over boiled potatoes or egg noodles.
