  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Oil for frying

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Grater or food processor
  • Skillet or frying pan

Method

  1. Grate the squash using a box grater or food processor.
  2. Squeeze out excess moisture from the grated squash using a clean kitchen towel.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated squash, flour, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to coat the bottom.
  5. Using your hands, scoop a tablespoon of the mixture and form it into a patty.
  6. Carefully place the patties in the hot skillet, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  7. Fry each side for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
