Main
  • 1 lb beef sirloin sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz egg noodles

Equipment

  • Large skillet or frying pan
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, ensuring it's cooked through.
  4. Stir in the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are tender and browned, about 5 minutes.
  6. Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, bringing the mixture to a simmer.
  7. Once simmering, reduce the heat to low and stir in the sour cream until fully combined.
  8. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Drain the cooked noodles and add them to the skillet, tossing gently to coat them in the sauce.
