  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Start by washing the bok choy thoroughly to remove any dirt. Cut it in half lengthwise to help it cook evenly.
  2. In a large skillet or wok, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds.
  4. Carefully add the bok choy to the skillet, cut side down.
  5. Sprinkle the soy sauce over the bok choy, along with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Sauté the bok choy for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender but still crisp.
  7. Give it a taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
  8. Transfer the bok choy to a serving dish and enjoy it while hot.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes while sautéing the garlic.
