Ingredients

Main
  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup lobster stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/4 cup green onions sliced (for garnish)

Equipment

  • Large skillet or wok
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and patting them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, combine the lobster stock, heavy cream, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the shrimp to the skillet, cooking them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet with the shrimp. Stir gently to coat the shrimp evenly and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  7. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  8. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions. Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

For a bit of heat, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
