Main
  • 1 pound raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup green onions finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce

  • 24 lumpia wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, green onions, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil.
  2. Use your hands or a spatula to mix the ingredients until they are well combined.
  3. Take a lumpia wrapper and lay it flat on a clean surface.
  4. Place about two tablespoons of filling at one end and fold the sides over the filling, then roll it up tightly.
  5. Use a dab of water to seal the edge of the wrapper.
  6. In a skillet, pour enough oil to cover the bottom and heat it over medium-high heat.
  7. Carefully add the lumpia to the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  8. Once cooked, transfer the lumpia to a plate lined with paper towels.
  9. Arrange the lumpia on a serving platter and serve hot.
