Ingredients

Main
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon miso paste
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 packs ramen noodles
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 4 soft-boiled eggs
  • Seaweed sheets
  • Sliced pork belly or chicken optional

Equipment

  • Large pot
  • Skillet
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Serving bowls

Method

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken broth and water. Bring to a gentle boil to meld the flavors.
  2. Whisk in the soy sauce, miso paste, and salt until fully dissolved.
  3. Reduce the heat and let the broth simmer for about 15 minutes.
  4. While the broth simmers, cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions.
  5. In a skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Sauté the sliced green onions until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  6. Once the broth is ready, divide the cooked noodles among serving bowls. Ladle the hot broth over the noodles.
  7. Top each bowl with bean sprouts, soft-boiled eggs, seaweed sheets, and your choice of protein.
  8. Garnish with extra green onions if desired and serve hot.
