Ingredients

Main
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 cup of dry rub seasoning store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup of barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Grill (gas or charcoal)
  • Aluminum foil
  • Meat thermometer
  • Basting brush

Method

  1. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs.
  2. Generously rub the dry rub seasoning all over the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat, around 300°F.
  4. Place the ribs on the grill away from direct heat.
  5. Close the grill lid and cook the ribs for about 1.5 to 2 hours, turning occasionally.
  6. During the last 30 minutes of grilling, mix barbecue sauce with apple cider vinegar and baste the ribs.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature, which should reach at least 190°F.
  8. Once done, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes.

Notes

These ribs are a star on their own, but pairing them with sides like coleslaw or cornbread enhances the meal.
