Ingredients

Main
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup warm milk about 110°F
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or dough hook
  • Plastic wrap
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper (optional)

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in the melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together salt and 2 cups of flour.
  4. Add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients gradually. Stir until a soft dough begins to form.
  5. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight).
  7. After chilling, punch down the dough gently, divide into 12 equal pieces and shape each into a ball.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for about 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 375°F, then bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

For a golden finish, brush the tops with melted butter right after baking.
