Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 package 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 3 ripe bananas sliced
  • 1 box 11 oz vanilla wafers

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spatula
  • Serving dish or individual cups

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the milk and the instant vanilla pudding mix. Whisk until smooth, allowing it to thicken, which usually takes about 2 minutes.
  2. Add the whipped topping to the pudding mixture. Gently fold it in to maintain the light and airy texture.
  3. Peel and slice the bananas into round pieces.
  4. In your serving dish or cups, start by adding a layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom.
  5. Spoon a layer of the pudding mixture over the wafers.
  6. Place a layer of banana slices on top of the pudding.
  7. Repeat the layering process until you run out of ingredients, finishing with a layer of pudding on top.
  8. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Notes

For the best flavor, use bananas that are perfectly ripe but not overly soft.
