Ingredients

Filling
  • 1 cup ground pork
  • 1 cup finely chopped napa cabbage
  • 1/4 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger minced
  • 1 package potsticker wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Water for steaming

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Rolling pin
  • Non-stick frying pan with lid
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped napa cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and minced ginger.
  2. Take a potsticker wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
  4. In a non-stick frying pan, heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  5. Place the potstickers in the pan, making sure they do not touch.
  6. Once the bottoms are golden, carefully add about half a cup of water to the pan and cover it with a lid.
  7. Let the potstickers steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until the water has evaporated.
  8. Remove the potstickers from the pan and serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Enjoy with a mix of soy sauce, vinegar, and chili oil.
