Ingredients

Main
  • Pork drippings from the roast
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ΒΌ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder optional

Equipment

  • Large skillet

Method

  1. After roasting your pork, pour the drippings from the roasting pan into a measuring cup.

  4. Whisk in the flour to create a roux, cooking for about 2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Slowly whisk in the reserved pork drippings, stirring constantly.
  6. Gradually add the chicken stock, continuing to whisk until smooth.
  7. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder if using. Taste and adjust seasoning.
  8. Bring the gravy to a simmer, allowing it to thicken for about 5-10 minutes.
  9. Once thickened, remove from heat and serve over your pork roast or favorite sides.
