Main
  • 2 cups cooked pork diced
  • 3 cups potatoes diced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 bell pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish optional

Equipment

  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Spatula
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  1. Start by dicing the cooked pork and potatoes, and chopping the onion and bell pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  3. Once hot, add the diced potatoes and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the potatoes for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden and crispy.
  5. Add the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet.
  6. Sauté for another 5 minutes until the vegetables soften.
  7. Stir in the diced pork and paprika, mixing everything well.
  8. Continue to cook for another 5-7 minutes, letting the mixture caramelize slightly.
  9. Check for seasoning and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
  10. Transfer the pork hash to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

For extra crispiness, let the potatoes sit in the skillet without stirring for a few minutes before flipping.
