Main
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter

Equipment

  • Shallow dish or plate for breading
  • Large skillet
  • Meat mallet or rolling pin
  • Cutting board
  • Whisk or fork

Method

  1. Place the pork chops on a cutting board and use a meat mallet to gently pound them to an even thickness.
  2. In one shallow dish, add the flour mixed with salt and pepper.
  3. In a second dish, whisk the eggs until smooth.
  4. In a third dish, combine breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  5. Coat each pork chop in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  6. Dip the floured chop into the egg mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
  7. Transfer the chop to the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down for even coating.
  8. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil or butter over medium-high heat.
  9. Add the breaded pork chops to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  10. Remove the chops from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
