  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 cups marinara sauce

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Baking sheet
  • Skillet or frying pan
  • Cooking thermometer (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  3. Add breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, egg, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Using your hands, mix the ingredients until just combined.
  5. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

  7. While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a skillet over medium heat.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the meatballs rest in the sauce for at least 10 minutes before serving.
