Ingredients

Main
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Meat mallet or rolling pin
  • Cooking tongs
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Plate for coating chicken

Method

  1. Start by placing the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap. Use a meat mallet to gently pound them to an even thickness.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the coating mixture, pressing down firmly to ensure it adheres well.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  6. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  7. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes.
  8. Plate the chicken and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

This chicken pairs wonderfully with a variety of sides for a balanced meal.
