Ingredients

Main
  • 4 medium potatoes scrubbed clean
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs like rosemary or thyme

Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Mixing bowl
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cut each potato into wedges by first halving them lengthwise, then cutting each half into 3-4 wedges.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried herbs.
  4. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss until evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  5. Spread the seasoned wedges in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for about 30 minutes, flipping wedges halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Check for doneness; they should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender inside.
  8. Let the wedges cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, soak the potato wedges in cold water for 30 minutes before seasoning.
