Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
  • Mixing bowl
  • Blender or food processor
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Storage container for freezing

Method

  1. Start by hulling and chopping the fresh strawberries.
  2. In a blender or food processor, combine the chopped strawberries, heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
  3. Transfer the blended mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into the Ninja Creami pint container, secure the lid, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
  5. After freezing, remove the container from the freezer and process in the Ninja Creami on the 'ice cream' setting.
  6. If the ice cream is too soft, return it to the freezer for 30 minutes and process again.
  7. Scoop the ice cream into bowls or cones and serve.
  8. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer.

Notes

For a richer flavor, let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
