Main
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Two tall glasses
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon for stirring
  • Ice crusher or plastic bag and mallet

Method

  1. Place sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt on the counter for easy access.
  2. Fill two tall glasses halfway with crushed ice.
  3. Pour 1 cup sweetened condensed milk and 1 cup evaporated milk into a measuring cup and stir until combined.
  4. Stir 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the milk mixture until evenly distributed.
  5. Slowly divide and pour the milk mixture evenly over the crushed ice in each glass.
  6. Stir each drink for about 1 minute to slightly melt the ice and create a smooth, creamy consistency.
  7. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more condensed milk or a splash of regular milk.
  8. Serve immediately while the ice is still crunchy for the best texture.

Notes

Serve immediately while ice is fresh; for extra cold drinks, freeze glasses for 15 minutes before serving.
