Ingredients

Main
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Club soda to top off
  • Lime wedges for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Equipment

  • Muddler or wooden spoon
  • Shaker or mixing glass
  • Measuring jigger
  • Glass for serving
  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Start by placing the fresh mint leaves in a glass. Use a muddler or wooden spoon to gently press the leaves, releasing their oils without shredding them.
  2. Next, sprinkle the sugar over the muddled mint and pour in the fresh lime juice.
  3. Stir the mint, sugar, and lime juice together until the sugar starts to dissolve.
  4. Pour in the vodka and mix it well with the mint-lime mixture.
  5. Fill your serving glass with ice cubes, almost to the top.
  6. Pour club soda over the ice, filling the glass to the brim.
  7. Add lime wedges and a sprig of fresh mint for garnish.
  8. Serve your mojito immediately, sipping and savoring the refreshing flavors.

Notes

For an extra refreshing twist, try adding a splash of fresh fruit puree like strawberry or mango.
