Lychee Martini

A sweet and floral vodka-based cocktail featuring lychee liqueur and juice, shaken ice-cold and served in a chilled martini glass.

  • 2 oz vodka premium quality recommended
  • 1 oz lychee liqueur such as Soho or Kwai Feh
  • 1 oz lychee juice from canned lychees
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup optional depending on sweetness preference
  • 2 to 3 whole lychee fruits for garnish
  • Ice cubes for shaking

Method
 

  1. Place a martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes to chill thoroughly.
  2. Thread 2 to 3 whole lychee fruits on a cocktail pick and set aside for garnish.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full with fresh ice cubes.
  4. Measure and pour 2 oz vodka, 1 oz lychee liqueur, 1 oz lychee juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup (if using) into the shaker.
  5. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker feels ice-cold.
  6. Remove the chilled martini glass from the freezer.
  7. Strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer (double-strain through a fine mesh strainer for extra clarity) into the glass.
  8. Garnish with the prepared lychee skewer by resting it across the rim or dropping it into the drink.
  9. Serve immediately while well-chilled.

Notes

Taste the lychee juice before mixing; brands vary in sweetness, so you may wish to omit or adjust the simple syrup. Always use freshly squeezed lime juice for optimal flavor.
