Method
- Place a martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes to chill thoroughly.
- Thread 2 to 3 whole lychee fruits on a cocktail pick and set aside for garnish.
- Fill a cocktail shaker two-thirds full with fresh ice cubes.
- Measure and pour 2 oz vodka, 1 oz lychee liqueur, 1 oz lychee juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz simple syrup (if using) into the shaker.
- Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the shaker feels ice-cold.
- Remove the chilled martini glass from the freezer.
- Strain the cocktail through a Hawthorne strainer (double-strain through a fine mesh strainer for extra clarity) into the glass.
- Garnish with the prepared lychee skewer by resting it across the rim or dropping it into the drink.
- Serve immediately while well-chilled.
Notes
Taste the lychee juice before mixing; brands vary in sweetness, so you may wish to omit or adjust the simple syrup. Always use freshly squeezed lime juice for optimal flavor.
