Ingredients

Main
  • 4 live lobsters about 1.5 lbs each
  • 2 pounds baby potatoes
  • 2 ears of corn cut into halves
  • 1 pound smoked sausage sliced
  • 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 lemon halved
  • Salt to taste
  • Water enough to fill the pot 3/4 full

Equipment

  • Large stockpot
  • Colander
  • Long-handled spoon
  • Kitchen tongs
  • Serving platter

Method

  1. Wash the baby potatoes and corn thoroughly.
  2. Fill a large stockpot with water and add a generous amount of salt. Bring the water to a boil, then add the potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes, or until slightly tender.
  3. Add the sliced sausage and corn to the pot.
  4. Sprinkle in the Old Bay seasoning and stir well.
  5. Carefully add the live lobsters to the pot, making sure they are submerged. Cover the pot and cook for about 8-10 minutes.
  6. Once the lobsters turn bright red, they are done.
  7. Remove the pot from heat and carefully drain the contents using a colander.
  8. Transfer the lobster, potatoes, corn, and sausage to a large serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top.
