  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire powder
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

Method
 

  1. Step 1: Gather all spices and equipment to ensure you have everything before you begin.
  2. Step 2: In the mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons garlic powder and 2 tablespoons onion powder.
  3. Step 3: Add 1 tablespoon smoked paprika and stir to combine.
  4. Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon Worcestershire powder and stir to incorporate.
  5. Step 5: Add 2 teaspoons brown sugar and 2 teaspoons kosher salt, then stir.
  6. Step 6: Add 1 teaspoon black pepper and 1 teaspoon dry mustard, then stir well.
  7. Step 7: Add 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme and mix.
  8. Step 8: Whisk the spice blend for 1 minute until fully uniform with no clumps.
  9. Step 9: Transfer the seasoning to an airtight container and label with the date, then store in a cool, dry place or use immediately.

Notes

Use 2 to 3 tablespoons of seasoning per 2 pounds of ground meat and store up to 6 months in an airtight container.
