Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup warm milk about 110°F
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast 2 1/4 teaspoons
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Rolling pin
  • Baking sheet
  • Kitchen towel
  • Oven

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, pineapple juice, vanilla extract, and eggs to the yeast mixture. Whisk until everything is well combined.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour and salt together.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  7. Once risen, punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and place them on a baking sheet.
  8. Cover the shaped rolls with a towel and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
  10. Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes
