Ingredients
  

Main
  • 3 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Whisk or fork

  • Shaker jar or airtight container

Method
 

  1. Gather all spices and measuring tools and place them within reach.
  2. Pour 3 tablespoons of salt into a small mixing bowl as the base of the seasoning blend.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons of garlic powder to the bowl and stir to combine with the salt.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of paprika to the mixture and stir gently to blend.
  5. Stir in 1 tablespoon of onion powder until evenly distributed.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper and mix thoroughly.
  7. Add 1 teaspoon of dried oregano and break up any clumps with a spoon.
  8. If using heat, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and stir until well combined.
  9. Whisk the entire mixture for 30 seconds to ensure all spices are evenly distributed and no clumps remain.
  10. Use a funnel if needed to transfer the seasoning into a shaker jar or airtight container for storage.

Notes

Store in an airtight container away from heat and moisture for up to three months. Shake before each use and sprinkle on hot fries, sweet potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
