  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano

Method
 

  1. Gather all your spices and measuring tools to ensure accurate measurements.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoons chili powder into the mixing bowl.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon ground cumin to the chili powder.
  4. Stir in 1 tablespoon paprika and mix gently to combine.
  5. Measure and add 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder and 1.5 teaspoons onion powder.
  6. Add 1 teaspoon ground black pepper and 1 teaspoon kosher salt, stirring as you go.
  7. Mix in 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 0.5 teaspoon dried oregano.
  8. Whisk all the spices together thoroughly until the mixture is uniform in color and texture.
  9. Transfer the seasoning blend into an airtight glass jar and store in a cool, dark place away from heat and sunlight.

Notes

Store the seasoning in an airtight container for up to 3 to 4 months in a cool, dark cupboard.
