Ingredients
  

Main
  • 3 tablespoons celery salt
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoons white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

  • Small mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Small whisk or fork

  • Airtight glass jar for storage
  • Spice grinder or mortar and pestle

Method
 

  1. Measure out all spices and place them in a small mixing bowl.
  2. Combine the celery salt and onion powder and whisk to blend.
  3. Add the garlic powder and stir briefly to integrate.
  4. Mix in the paprika and whisk gently until the color is evenly distributed.
  5. Incorporate the white pepper and stir well to combine.
  6. Add the cayenne pepper and break up any clumps with a spoon as you mix.
  7. Stir in the ground nutmeg and cloves until fully combined.
  8. Taste a small pinch and adjust salt or cayenne if desired, remixing as needed.
  9. Transfer the seasoning blend to an airtight glass jar and label with the date; store in a cool, dark place.

Notes

Store in an airtight jar for up to six months. Add one or two grains of uncooked rice to the jar to prevent clumping.
