Ingredients

Main
  • 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen fruit like strawberries or blueberries
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Ice cream maker (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula
  • Freezer-safe container

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in your choice of fresh or frozen fruit until evenly distributed.
  3. If you prefer a smoother texture, blend the mixture in a blender or food processor until creamy.
  4. Refrigerate the mixture for about 30 minutes.
  5. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Transfer the churned yogurt into a freezer-safe container and spread it evenly.
  7. Cover the container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
  8. Once frozen, let the yogurt sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.

Notes

For a creamier texture, remember to churn the yogurt while it's still a bit soft before freezing it fully.
