Ingredients

Main
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Oven or grill
  • Baking sheet or grilling basket
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Chef's knife

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the chopped dill, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet or in a grilling basket and brush or spoon the marinade over each fillet.
  4. Let the salmon marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side.
  6. Check for doneness by using a fork; the salmon should be opaque and flake easily.
  7. Remove from the oven or grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  8. Garnish with additional fresh dill and lemon wedges if desired before serving.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, add lemon zest to the marinade.
