Ingredients

Main
  • 4 salmon fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Oven-proof skillet
  • Fish spatula
  • Measuring spoons
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and fresh dill.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over the seasoned fillets.
  5. Heat your oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes.
  7. Carefully transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes.
  8. Check for doneness when the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Notes

For added flavor, try marinating the salmon in the dill and lemon juice mixture for 30 minutes before cooking.
