Ingredients

Main
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Whisk

Method

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  2. Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  6. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Dijon mustard and thyme.
  8. Add the chicken back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  9. Plate the chicken and drizzle the sauce over it. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the chicken marinate in the Dijon mustard for a couple of hours before cooking.
