  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 ½ cups warm water

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Plastic wrap or kitchen towel
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and instant yeast.

  6. Transfer the loaf to a piece of parchment paper and cover it for about 30 minutes.
  7. Carefully remove the hot baking sheet from the oven and slide the loaf (with parchment) onto it.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Let the bread cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For a crispy crust, place a pan of water in the oven while baking.
