  • 2 cups full-fat or 2% cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill chopped (or 1 tablespoon dried)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives chopped
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder for extra depth
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for subtle heat

  • Large mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Pour the cottage cheese and sour cream into a food processor bowl.
  2. Pulse for 30 to 45 seconds, then blend continuously for another 30 to 45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add fresh lemon juice and salt, then blend while running until fully combined.
  4. Add black pepper and pulse a few times to create visible specks.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl and fold in minced garlic, fresh dill, and chives with a rubber spatula.
  6. Taste the dip and adjust seasoning with additional salt, lemon juice, or garlic if desired.
  7. Spoon the dip into a serving bowl and smooth the top with the back of a spoon.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving to let flavors meld and firm up.

Notes

Refrigerate remaining dip in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Stir well before serving.
