Ingredients

Main
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 6 slices bacon chopped into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 store-bought pizza dough 14-inch, at room temperature
  • 3/4 cup ranch dressing store-bought or homemade
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Equipment

  • 14-inch pizza pan or baking sheet
  • Large skillet
  • Cutting board
  • Chef's knife
  • Measuring spoons and cups
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Small bowl for mixing
  • Oven preheated to 425°F

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare to bake the pizza.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy, about 7 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally; remove with a slotted spoon and set aside on paper towels, leaving 1 tablespoon of bacon grease in the skillet.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the same skillet with the bacon grease, season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, and cook over medium-high heat for 6 to 7 minutes until golden and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F); remove from heat.
  4. Lightly oil a 14-inch pizza pan or baking sheet with olive oil to prevent sticking and crisp the crust.
  5. If the dough is cold, let it rest for 5 minutes, then stretch it to fit the prepared pan, working from the center outward.
  6. Spread the ranch dressing evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edges.
  7. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the ranch layer, then add the shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Distribute the cooked chicken pieces and crispy bacon evenly across the cheese, then scatter the diced red onion and chopped fresh chives on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated 425°F oven for 12 to 14 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling at the edges.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes before slicing into 4 to 8 pieces.

Notes

Don't skip cooking the chicken separately, as it needs to reach 165°F internally and won't cook through in the pizza bake time.
