Ingredients

Main
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1 cup milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Jar or container with lid

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together chia seeds, milk, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until evenly combined.
  2. Let the mixture sit for 5 minutes to allow the chia seeds to begin absorbing the liquid and swelling.
  3. Stir the mixture again to break up any clumps and ensure even texture.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a jar or container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  5. After chilling, check the consistency; if the pudding is too thick, stir in a little more milk to reach desired texture.
  6. Scoop the chia pudding into bowls or jars before serving.
  7. Add your favorite toppings like fresh fruits, nuts, or granola to enhance flavor and texture.
  8. Enjoy the chia pudding cold as a healthy breakfast, snack, or dessert.

Notes

Chill overnight for best texture; stir before serving if the pudding thickens too much in the fridge.
