Ingredients

Main
  • 1 medium cauliflower grated
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Oil for frying

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Fork or potato masher
  • Skillet
  • Spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Paper towels

Method

  1. Start by grating the cauliflower using a box grater or food processor.
  2. Transfer the grated cauliflower to a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated cauliflower, flour, Parmesan cheese, eggs, and spices. Stir until everything is evenly mixed.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom.
  5. Using your hands, form small patties from the mixture, about 2 inches wide.
  6. Carefully place the fritters in the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once cooked, transfer the fritters to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
  8. Serve the fritters warm, alongside your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

These fritters are perfect on their own but can be paired with various dips and sides.
