Ingredients

  • 2 ounces silver or blanco tequila
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 ounce grenadine syrup
  • 2 ounces club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Lime wheel for garnish

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid
  • Jigger or measuring spoon
  • Bar spoon or long teaspoon
  • Fine mesh strainer
  • Rocks glass or highball glass
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Knife for garnish

Method
 

  1. Gather and measure all ingredients using a jigger for accuracy.
  2. Cut limes and lemons in half and juice them with a citrus reamer until you have 1 ounce of lime juice and 1 ounce of lemon juice.
  3. Fill your cocktail shaker three-quarters full with ice.
  4. Add 2 ounces of tequila, 1 ounce of lime juice, 1 ounce of lemon juice, and 0.5 ounce of grenadine syrup to the shaker.
  5. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds until the shaker is frosty.
  6. Fill a rocks glass with fresh ice and strain the cocktail into the glass using a fine mesh strainer.
  7. Top off with 2 ounces of club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  8. Garnish with a lime wheel and serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Notes

Use freshly squeezed citrus juice and high-quality grenadine. Adjust grenadine amount to taste and serve immediately to maintain carbonation.
