Ingredients

Main
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract optional
  • Pinch of salt

Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or blender
  • Non-stick skillet or crepe pan
  • Spatula
  • Ladle or measuring cup

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, milk, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Cover the batter and let it rest for at least 30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Preheat your non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add a small amount of butter to the skillet and swirl to coat the surface.
  5. Use a ladle or measuring cup to pour about ¼ cup of batter into the pan. Quickly tilt and swirl the pan to spread the batter evenly across the surface.
  6. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges lift slightly and the bottom turns golden brown. Flip with a spatula and cook the other side for another 1 minute.
  7. Once both sides are cooked, transfer the crepe to a plate and cover it with a clean kitchen towel to keep warm.
  8. Continue the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.

Notes

Serve warm with a variety of fillings like fresh berries, Nutella, or ham and cheese.
