Ingredients

Main
  • 1 can or 1 cup fresh bamboo shoots sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions chopped

Equipment

  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting board
  • Wok or large skillet
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Method

  2. In a wok or large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the hot oil and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the bamboo shoots and cook for about 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in the soy sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Add the sesame oil and mix well.
  7. Gently fold in the chopped green onions.
  8. Taste the dish and add salt and pepper as needed.

Notes

Serve immediately for optimal texture; leftovers will soften.
