Method
- Chill your coupe or cocktail glass by filling it with ice and letting it sit while you prepare the drink.
- Measure 1.5 ounces gin and 0.5 ounce dry vermouth into your cocktail shaker using a jigger.
- Add 0.75 ounce fresh cranberry juice to the shaker.
- Squeeze fresh lemon to measure 0.25 ounce of lemon juice and add to the shaker.
- Pour 0.25 ounce simple syrup and add 1 dash orange bitters into the shaker.
- Fill the shaker three-quarters full with ice to chill and dilute properly.
- Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10 to 12 seconds until the outside is frosty.
- Discard the ice from your pre-chilled glass and strain the cocktail into it using a strainer.
- Garnish with fresh cranberries or express a lemon twist over the glass before serving.
Notes
Serve immediately and enjoy as an aperitif; pre-chill your glass for best results.
