Ingredients

Main
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper sliced
  • 1 yellow onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Tortillas for serving
  • Optional toppings: sour cream salsa, cilantro, avocado

Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs

Method

  1. Start by slicing the chicken, bell peppers, and onion. Uniform pieces ensure even cooking and tender bites.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced chicken with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix in the bell peppers and onion with the seasoned chicken.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Place the chicken and vegetable mixture in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
  7. Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. While the chicken is cooking, warm your tortillas in a pan or microwave.
  9. Once cooked, serve the fajitas with warm tortillas and your choice of toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the seasoning and olive oil for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
